Zooland policy and procedures are subject to change with/without notice:Open door policy:
Zooland has a open door policy for the parents.
Zooland provides all food PLEASE NO FOOD FROM HOME. Parents must provide all special items (diapers wipes.)
Personal Belongings:
NO PERSONAL BELONGINGS from home. Exceptions being their security item for nap time (if needed) WHICH WILL BE PUT UP UNTIL NAP TIME. You will be responsible for transporting and washing of items. if you can't or are unwilling to transport and wash you will not be able to bring item.
We are not responsible for any item lost, stolen or broken they sneak in to zooland.
Arrivals & Departures:
Children are to arrive CLEAN and DRESSED for the day at all times (no over night clothes or P.Js). It is normal for some children to have difficulty separating from parents, or cry when being dropped off. PLEASE BE VERY BRIEF DURING DROP OFF TIME, When A SMILE,CHEER FULL GOOD-BYE KISS AND A REASSURING WORD THAT YOU WILL BE BACK ARE MADE ROUTINE YOUR CHILD WILL GROW TO UNDERSTAND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM "GOODBYE TIME" and will build confidence that you will return.
Custody/Domestic concerns:
As your childcare provider I must be made aware of any and all concerns regarding your child.
Child Abuse:If we see it we will report it. Zero Tolerance:
Please do not come to my home under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any medication that impairs your ability to drive or care for your child.
If you do, I can not stop you from leaving BUT WE WILL CALL THE AUTHORITIES.
Absences:
There will be no refunds or adjustments made for time missed outside your contracted spot. A place has been reserved for your child that can not be filled on a short term basis. your daily or weekly fee will be applicable in order to maintain current enrollment with ZOOLAND. ( if your child is schedule to be at zooland and is not you still pay).
Cleanliness & Hygiene:
We do Our best to maintain strict and cleanliness and hygiene standards. Children's hands are washed before and after eating and after coming in from outside. and after toileting. We also use antibacterial gel and hand sanitizer.
Toilet Training:
Toilet training will be done in a relaxed manner with the cooperation of the family. and done when the child is ready, and not when the parent is ready. ( Zooland reserves the right to decline toilet training if the child demonstrates they are not ready.)
once your child is in underwear they are no longer in toilet training and are expected to use the restroom on their own. once they are in underwear we will allow 1 accident, after that they will need to go back into pull ups for 1 week of toilet training to reinforce our bathroom procedure.
Naps & Quiet Time:
All children take part in Quiet time.
My philosophy is that children need guidance, understanding, and a few easy to follow rules in order to learn . We encourage children to solve problems themselves. But if and when problems do arise this is our policy:
We Intervene and discuss/problem + solving.
We Re-direct to another play area when and if needed.
Loss of privileges.
Time to get emotions under control is the last step (1 min, per years old) to sit and control self.
Damages:
you pay if your child breaks something on purpose.
Symptoms requiring removal of child from daycare or when not to bring them:
Basically if you would not send your child to school then don't send them to zooland,( no fever for 24 hr. no green discharge from nose or eyes with a fever no excess vomiting ect.)
Call or email for Rates. ( Our work day covers 9hr day anything over 9hr a day will be O.T.)
