About us


Hello. My name is Craig Teachworth. I am the owner and primary caregiver at Zooland Daycare. My wife Julie of 25 years is my assistant caregiver. Julie and I have been caring for children for over 19 years. We are certified in 1st aid / Infant/Child, adult CPR and Blood-borne pathogens and AEDs. We have also completed the State and Federal nutrition guidelines training in food service. State licensing orientation program along with 240 clock hours year to date and 70.5 CEU'S in child education towards our CDA certificate and we are continuing our education at 30 clock hr. per year. We have three children of our own Christian, Kyle , and Peyton, We opened Zooland daycare to provide exceptional childcare in the Lowell area.

Our Philosophy
We believe that all children deserve love, attention, and nurturing. We believe that a safe environment allows children to explore and grow. At Zooland, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences. This provides age appropriate development. We read to the children everyday. We believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning. Most importantly, however, We believe that children need to have fun! At Zooland, we often have Pizza/ ice cream parties, movie days, and play lots of exciting games.(EACH SUMMER WE HAVE THE ZOOLAND GAMES), Children learn best from experiencing the world around them. Zooland limits TV to just one movie, or one hour per day always educational programing.

At Zooland, We recognize that you have a difficult schedule and support parents the best we can. We recognize the importance of work, and the stress and demands placed on parents. We strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the knowledge that their children are in good hands.
